I’m excited to share with you, our valued customer, news that Consolidated Hospitality Supplies LLC (CHS LLC) has acquired the inventory and select North American operating assets of American Hotel Register Company (American Hotel), including American Hotel's "Registry" brand. This transaction was led by HCI Equity Partners (HCI), which formed CHS LLC and also created a hospitality supply platform which owns CHS LLC. HCI is an award winning, private equity firm focused on partnering with family and founder owned distribution, manufacturing, and service companies. HCI entered the hospitality supply business in 2017 with the purchase of Amtex, a North American leader in hospitality supplies serving the mid-tier and economy hotel sectors.

Following the transaction, both CHS LLC and Amtex will be sister companies under this platform. Of note, CHS LLC did not acquire the American Hotel Register Company or the company's debt (bank, suppliers, customers, etc.), but the American Hotel Register brand will continue to be used by CHS LLC (as a brand only). The well-known American Hotel Register and Amtex brands have a unique opportunity for comprehensive hospitality industry coverage.

For current customers of the American Hotel Register brand, this announcement won't result in significant changes in our day-to-day interactions, but brings the added benefit of an expanded distribution network and related capabilities. American Hotel's headquarters will be in Vernon Hills, IL, and the headquarters of Amtex will remain in San Bernardino, CA. Bill Hirsch continues as CEO of Amtex. I serve as president of CHS LLC, and remain an HCI employee.

I hope you will join us in celebrating this positive news.
